My professional learning objective is to research how other university registrar offices handle daily processes to determine if I am doing everything possible to streamline my responsibilities as a registrar specialist. I will utilize learning resources such as The Chronicle of Higher Education and speaking with Belmont University Librarian for suggestions on journal articles. I also plan to view other institutional websites for possible ideas on processes. Strategies will also include utilizing blogger, twitter, and facebook with hopes of starting dialogue with other professionals with outside perspective. Evidence of accomplishing these objectives is to utilize what I have learned to implement new processes that will benefit Belmont’s Office of the Registrar. The criteria and means for validating such evidence will result in an increase in productivity allowing for stronger relationships with students.
